The Travel Hack
We recently joined P&O Cruises and a group of travel bloggers on the ultimate press trip in the Norwegian Fjords.
The aim of the trip was to promote P&O Cruises’ newest ship, Iona, due in 2020, whose whole first season will be spent in the Fjords. Iona’s ports of call in Norway will include Olden, Bergen, Geraingerfjord, Stavenger and Alesund.
The brand are already experts in delivering holidays to the Fjords, and this expertise brings with it the ability to offer the most diverse range of excursion experiences. The idea of this trip was for the bloggers to experience both the Norwegian landscape itself, seeing the wonder of the stunning Briksdal Glacier and feeling the calm of kyaking in the fjords; and have a taste of the amazing adventures also on offer, from downhill mountain biking at Mount Dalsnibba to rib rafting in Nordfjord, in order to showcase the way every individuals’ itiniery can be tailored to their own tastes.
All four bloggers – Monica Stott, The Travel Hack; Scott Tisson, Intrepid Escape; Dannielle Noonan, While I’m Young and Siân Anna Lewis, The Girl Outdoors, covered the trip on their own social media accounts with photographs and Stories each day on location. We were there to capture all their exploits on film, and have now produced seperate films for them to use featuring their own unique voices and reflecting their own brand identities. These are currently going live on their blogs and social channels, as well as P&O Cruises‘ own channels. All using the hashtags #SeaNorway and #HolidayLikeNeverBefore.
